The Subway Serial (The Great Divide)

Play Ball!

Learn a little more about the great game of baseball and the greatest baseball city in the world at our new home for the Mets & Yankees:
The Subway Serial (The Great Divide) (http://baseballnyc.blogspot.com/)
We intend to give you daily coverage of games, standing for the NL & AL East teams as well as special fetures, possible interviews (if Jay Horowitz the Mets PR man would retrun my calls!) and so much more! Keep on top of the action and as always -

Freak(s) of the Week

He said Anna never had a serious conversation with representatives from Playboy, and that her attire at the party was "not as revealing as people say it is. The only thing they fed off is when she kind of bent over and someone took a picture of it. It's an exaggeration of the truth, and now the Mets are going to miss out on a quality starter and the Orioles are going to benefit."

"Some people are already seeing the trade as a negative thing. There are a lot of things that don't add up when it comes to the reasoning behind it," he said. "There's a lot of heresy, a lot of rumors floating around about the reason why. Lately, a lot of people are suspecting foul play in terms of one thing being said and the truth being different."

Can you spell delusional? Come on Kris, be honest. When your wife says publicly that she will sleep with everyone in the organization from players to grounds crew if you ever cheat on her...what do you expect. Your wife is a wack job who says more dumb stuff on a daily basis than Jessica Simpson in a season of Newlyweds. She got you traded because of her behavior. The bitch is a freak and now she is divorcing you. Don't be jealous because your old team is good now and realized they are better without you and your ding bat wife...now you're being the freak too saying that you think it was blown out of proportion. Why would your wife dress the least bit slutty to a charity event for kids? How can't you see it? Good riddance freak.

The Irishman & His First Game

An Irish man went to his first American baseball game.
As the first batter got a hit, fans jumped up yelling, "RUN! RUN!"
The Irish man jumped up as well yelling, "Run, laddie! Run laddie!"
The next batter got up and also got a hit. The fans again cheered, "RUN! RUN!"

The Irish man jumped up yelling, "Run laddie! Run laddie!"
The third batter got up, got ball 1... ball 2 ... ball 3 ... ball 4.

The umpire yelled, "Take your base!"
The batter jogged to the base.
The Irish man jumped up and yelled, "Run laddie! Run laddie!"
Another fan looked at him and said, "He does not need to run, for he has four balls!"
The Irish man's jaw dropped, and he turned and said, "Walk with pride, lad! Walk with pride!"

Hot Chick in Burka of the Week

Over at the Aurora, they have a Mascot of the Week (See Current) so being the upstanding fine gentlemen that we are, we won't bite off of it...but that doesn't mean we don't love the ladies. Plus since I am off tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day as a rule, I figured this would be a good way to say "Beat It" until the next time.
PS - Colonel Forfa, hit the link for St.Patrick's Day and find thee some salvation

Freak of the Week

The funny thing is, how can you have a Greatest Hits album when you only had 2 hits?

Rock & Roll Part II is played at almost every sporting event...Next time you hear it, remeber that Gary was caught in England and convicted of having child pornography, was expelled from Cambodia for unknown reasons (but apparently related to pedophilia) and is currently on trial in Viet Nam, where he moved after getting kicked out of Cambodia, for molesting little girls (ages 10 to 11)...Remember this and get sick to your stomach.

Remember you are dust and upon death , Dust you shall return!

(Today is Ash Wednesday, so get your butt to church or at least see the Rev. and get a little sermon on the blog!)
